Job Title: Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO 
Contract: Full-time, 2-year fixed term with potential to extend.
Location: Hybrid / High Wycombe – requirement to work in the office 1 days per week, with flexibility.
Working Hours: TBC
Salary: £36,000–£37,500 per annum plus £312 working from home allowance.
Reports To: CEO
Release Date: Friday 27th February 2026
Closing Date: Friday 12th March 2026

Role Purpose
Provide high-level governance and executive support to the CEO, ensuring effective Board and committee operations, robust action tracking, and strong charity governance. The role supports delivery of strategic priorities through proactive coordination, independent working, and reliable systems, while collaborating closely with trustees, senior leaders and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Board & Governance
•	Prepare, coordinate and manage Board and Committee papers, agendas, minutes and action logs.
•	Maintain Board and committee calendars, including residentials.
•	Manage Trustee records (terms, appointments, declarations of interest).
•	Ensure compliance with Charity Commission, Companies House and internal governance requirements.
•	Support Trustee onboarding, induction, training and governance reviews.
•	Maintain governance systems (SharePoint/Teams/Planner) and ensure document quality, consistency and accessibility.
•	Track decisions and actions, escalating risks or delays as needed.

Executive Support
•	Proactively manage the CEO’s diary, inbox, calls and priorities.
•	Ensure CEO is fully prepared for meetings, visits, speaking engagements and external commitments.
•	Advise on priorities, risks and interdependencies affecting the executive agenda.
•	Book UK and overseas travel and manage expenses.
•	Draft and proof emails, letters and short updates.
•	Coordinate all-staff events with the People Advisor.
•	Provide end-to-end support to the Development Board (scheduling, papers, logistics, follow-up).

Programme & Project Support
•	Provide project support across the organisation, including timelines, action tracking and reporting.
•	Support Fundraising & Communications with supporter events (logistics, materials, on-the-day and follow-up).
•	Prepare concise project dashboards and status updates for the CEO, SLT and Board.
•	Identify cross-programme risks and support resolution or escalation.

Person Specification
Essential Experience & Skills
•	Senior-level executive support experience (CEO or equivalent).
•	Board and committee support, including papers, minutes and action tracking.
•	Strong understanding of governance processes and regulatory requirements.
•	Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
•	Advanced Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint).
•	Clear, professional written communication.
•	Ability to influence without line-management authority.
•	High levels of discretion and judgement.
•	Understanding of, or willingness to learn, charity governance.

•	Highly organised, proactive and dependable.

•	Confident working with trustees, senior leaders and external partners.
•	Collaborative, service-oriented and values-led.
